How many questions are on the real CPC exam?
The current CPC exam is 100 multiple-choice questions taken open-book with your approved code books, over a four-hour window. Confirm the current format on AAPC's official site before you sit.
Do I have to memorize every CPT code?
No — and trying to is the classic way people run out of time. The exam tests whether you can find the correct code quickly using the book's index and guidelines. That is a trainable skill, which is exactly what these questions build.
